I had an opportunity to join Daisymayrobin and her friend Collin on a trip to the Trish McEvoy counter at Nordstrom last Saturday. We had so much fun! It's great to get to experiment with new product and get tips on application.
I had never tried anything from the Trish McEvoy line, but I was immedidately enamored with their brush selection. After much deliberation, I bought the #M54 Mini "Va va voom" smudge brush. (What a perfect name!)
I thought I had a pretty comprehensive brush collection, but this smudge brush is AMAZING! Va va voom, indeed! It's perfect for blending eyeliner for a smokey eye or - if you're lazy, like me - you can use it to apply a subtle smudged line with eyeshadow. It creates a soft line that is wider than the one I can achieve with my angled brush. The other thing I like about it is that the handle is a bit shorter, which gives me more control.
There were two other eye brushes that I am still thinking about going back to get. I liked the #11 Eye Definer/Shadow Liner Brush and the #23 Angled Contour Brush. I keep thinking maybe I don't really need these brushes, but they call to me. (They say, "Buy us, Kittykat - we'll make you beau-tee-ful!")
It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon and I hope we can do it again soon!
