The Gorge/Leavenworth

On Saturday afternoon, we embarked on our trip to Leavenworth. We didn't hit any traffic and got there in about two and a half hours. Not bad!

In Leavenworth, we stayed at the Bavarian Lodge, which was very nice and included a full breakfast. Sweet!

Saturday night, we had dinner at Andrea's Keller Restaurant. I had Weisswurst and Pommes Frites (that's white sausage and fries, homeslice) and Aaron was a good sport and had the only vegetarian option on the menu, fried eggs and German potatoes (which were kind of like home fries). We both had a couple Bitburger Pils, too. Prost!

Sunday, we lazed around most of the day and I caught up on reality tv. (Those two Davids on Idol are sooooo cute! How do those crab fisherman not die?? Does anyone else besides me think that winning on Flavor of Love would actually be losing?) Then, we got motivated and zoomed over to the Gorge for Sasquatch.

The main stage was HUGE! We got there in the middle of the Presidents' set.

The view of the Columbia River was awesome!

We got to see Death Cab

and the Cure.

It was so fun!

Yesterday, we drove over Steven's Pass

and headed back to Seattle.

Would I go to the Gorge again? Absolutely. It really is a unique and wonderful place to see a show (even though a 24 oz can of PBR costs $12. Yes. Really.)
