Golf

A few weeks ago, a small package arrived in the mail addressed to me. I wasn't expecting anything and it wasn't my birthday or Christmas, so I didn't think it could be a gift. Intrigued, I opened it. It was this book with a Goodwill price tag on the bottom.

I thought to myself, "Golf? A book about golf? I don't even play golf." (Kind of like in "Wayne's World" when Wayne gets the gun rack from that girl and he says, "A Gun rack? I don't even own a gun." That's quality humor right there.)

So, I waited for Aaron to get home and asked him if he ordered it for someone. He said he hadn't and thought maybe my Dad had it sent to me. I thought for a moment and remembered that I had mentioned to my Dad that I would like to learn to play golf when I retire. Uh, but that's a ways off, since I'm only 32.

Still miffed, I set the book in the laundry room, planned to email my Dad about it, and then proceeded to forget about it.

The other day, Aaron came home and announced that he knew who sent the book. Aaron's brother (who actually is an avid golfer) ordered the book on Amazon, but since I was the last person they sent something to, my name and address were saved in the recipient's address field. Mystery solved!

Now we just need to get it together to actually send the book to his brother. I think I'll just set it back in the laundry room for now...
