Are you gonna eat that?

After the tight pants debacle of last spring, I started reigning in some of my bad habits. In addition to working out at a real gym (and not Curves), I pretty much quit eating at Taco Bell and put a stop to the Pillsbury Vanilla frosting straight from the tub every time I opened the fridge. I even started keeping a food journal and weighing myself. It's probably a bit obsessive, but whatever. I thought I'd give it another try. I have nowhere near the detail that the Eat Like Me blog does, but it's a start.

I've been reading a lot of eating blogs lately, too. On Elastic Waist (which I found via Eat Like Me), I found a blog where you can see what Ellen Degeneres eats for lunch every day! It's quite interesting.

If you like to see what celebrities eat, check out this blog about, well, celebs eating. I don't know why this is fascinating, but it is.

Even more riveting, is seeing what inmates on death row choose for their last meal. They did a recent poll of readers of the blog Dead Man Eeating to see what their last meal would be. For your one last meal, I guess you could pretty much go apeshit, since you wouldn't really have to worry about crapping up your arteries with hydrogenated oils or turning into a fatty from too much high fructose corn syrup.

What would you choose for your last meal? Me? I would want white cupcakes with white frosting from QFC (with a vat of extra frosting on the side) for sure and then for the dinner part, I could go one of two ways: traditional cooking from my Mom, which would include a serving bowl size container of stuffing with turkey gravy and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy, warmed up french bread with lots of butter, and some peas for color. Or, I could go all fast food and then I'd want a couple personal pepperoni pan pizzas from Pizza Hut (I'd ask them to add canned black olives, too, even though they don't normally offer that - but, you know, it's my last meal and all), a beef taco bowl from Taco Time with ranch dressing (and mild sauce and nacho cheese from Taco Bell) and then a chocolate dipped cone from Dairy Queen. Mmmmm.

Uh, but in reality, I don't need to plan my last meal - thankfully - so I'll be sticking with things like bananas, organic baby romaine salad with olive oil and lemon juice, Triscuits, applesauce and Junior Mints (with the occasional trip to Subway or Taco Time for a treat). Because it's almost Springtime and those frickin' summer pants better fit this year...
