After lunch, we relaxed for a bit and then got ready to go to the wedding. (My other aunt let us use her hotel room so that we could get ready, which was quite generous.)
The wedding itself was classy and the ceremony was relatively short. The weather even cooperated, but it was looking dodgy there for a while. The area where the ceremony was held over looked the bay.
If you look toward the left hill, you can see a brick building (Mathes Hall) that is obscuring my former dorm, Higginson Hall.My cousin chose red and orange for her wedding colors and the flowers reflected the theme.
I liked the attention to detail and thought the flowers in the fountain were a nice touch.
Here's a close up of the floating flowers.
So pretty! The tables were all covered in orange tablecloths, with votive candles and a large centerpiece.
Each centerpiece consisted of a massive glass vase that housed two goldfish. A bouquet of red roses topped each vase, which may have bummed out the goldfish, because they weren't looking too lively.
The dinner was excellent and offered lots of variety, but no vegetarian option. Thankfully, Aaron was able to work around that by having Caesar salad, pasta salad, potatoes, broccoli and a roll. I had all the same, minus the broccoli with the addition of breaded chicken, which was delish. They also had an open bar with beer and wine. Mmmm, Mac and Jack's. For dessert, there was red velvet wedding cake or M&M's with the bride and groom's names on one side. (I had both - it was a special occasion, after all.)
It was a beautiful wedding, great to get back to Bellingham to have a look around, and also great not to have to do any wedding related work. Being a guest is the best way to go!

WHAT?!?!? A restaurant??? Our beloved 3B? Good god, what next? Frats at Western?
Sounds like the wedding was lovely but I admit, I skimmed that part after hearing the earth shattering news...
I know! I just about fell over when I saw it. I wanted to get a picture, but I was driving. On a brighter note, there is also a Buffalo Exchange downtown. It's right across from where the 3B used to be. And the Up and Up is still there, of course. The Y looks really nice, too! I thought of you when we drove by. :-)
