Hair Affair

I thought it would be cool to have long-ish hair again. Everyone in Hollywood has long hair and they all look great, right? Well, of course they do! They live in CALIFORNIA! They don't have to deal with gale force winds, torrential rains and sleet every time they step outside. Here in Seattle in November, my hair (that I have so patiently grown out, I might add) has just turned into a big wet mess. Not only that, but it's dangerous, because it blows in my face and has obscured my vision, causing temporary blind spots. (Which, I have to admit, is better than bald spots, but I digress.)

I also thought that longer hair would be fun because I could wear it up, put it into whimsical pigtails, or pull it into a ponytail, etc. But, nope. I don't want to do any of that. I want to style it and then not think about it again. I'm girly, but I do like to be able to run from my car into a store without having to take a side trip to the bathroom to assess the wind/rain damage.

So, I decided I'm going to cut my hair. It's driving me bonkers, totally nuts! I did a search of possible hairstyles that would look cool, but that would also be easy to style. I think I like the style pictured at the top the best. (I'm not going to adopt the lip ring/wife beater, look, however.)

I have a hair appointment this Saturday. And after that, it's short hair city. It will be a Christmas present to myself.

That's a super cute 'do! I totally understand the hair dilemma. I wonder how many different lengths (and colors) I've gone through since we met? : )

I've also found during the last couple of 20-degree days, all my hair wanted to do was be heavy and hang in my face. I had my five-week trim scheduled for Dec 13, but I called yesterday and moved it to the 7th!

Ok We need to kill "Make Extra Money". I'm not normally a violent person but who invited the info-mercail?

Ok my statement about your hair. You know, as long as you have enough, you can always wear falls. I love that option. Falls for everyone! It's like being your very own Tiffany Taylor doll with interchangable hair.

Thanks! I'm really excited to get it cut, but kind of scared at the same time. You know how it goes....

I've never tried falls before, but I love wigs, so I might give that a try. Thanks for the tip!

And on a side note, in my desperation, I cut my bangs myself because I was having a freak out day. Oh dear, it's not pretty. I'm hoping it can be fixed!
