Aaron and I are taking my Mom out to dinner at Feierabend tomorrow. It's a thank you for all the help she gave us with the wedding. I'm really looking forward to checking it out. What does "Feierabend" mean in German, you ask? I was getting it confused with "Feiertag", which means "holiday". However, after checking my online translator, I discovered that it actually means "after hours" or "quitting time". So I guess it's meant to be a place you go after work for a brewsky.
Feierabend is owned by the same people who own Prost! and the Die Bierstube, which both have a fine selection of German beers. My friend Miss K has already been to Feierabend and informed me that they also have a great choice of beers, but, in addition, offer an extensive food menu.
I can't wait! Hook me up with some schnitzel, Herr Kellner.
I'll let you know how we fare. Bis dann, Liebchen!
