We went to Volterra in Ballard on Saturday for dinner with some friends. (Thanks again, guys!!) It was so good! I had the pan seared chicken with mashed potatoes and it was the tops. I love mashed potatoes. Everyone else's food looked pretty tasty, as well. Where else are you going to get wild boar? We also had a couple hard drinkies and some chianti. Mmmmm.Afterwards, we ventured over to the Ballard Smoke Shop. I had only been there once before and it reminded me of the Ranch Room up in Bellingham...a nice dive bar with its fair share of career alcoholics. The drinks were as strong as the last time I was there, but it didn't seem as smoky. One begs the question, what will they call it when the smoking ban goes into effect on December 8th? The Non-Smoke Shop?
