Thankfuls

Now that Thanksgiving is over and we're all fat and sassy and back at work, most people are probably not thinking about being thankful anymore and have moved onto Christmas. I know I have. Our tree is up I even bought a Santa suit for someone...

However, Thanksgiving aside, for about two years now, I have been writing a list every day of three things that I am thankful for. I know, it sounds like something dopey that a life coach would come up with. But a co-worker of mine suggested it and I thought I'd give it a whirl. She said if I did it for 90 days, then my life would change for the better. I did and after the 90 days, I just kept on going. And hot damn, things actually have been going pretty well what with the getting engaged and buying a condo (well, we're trying to buy a condo).

So, if you're up for it, I'd say to try it as an experiment and see if it makes you feel too new-agey. It doesn't have to be anything earth shattering. Some days I'm thankful for small stuff like Taco Bell or getting to watch "Lost". Other days I'm thankful for big stuff like Aaron, my family and friends. It helps to keep things in perspective and makes me slightly less bitter when Macy's doesn't have an 8 and half in the majority of the shoes that I want to try on.
