Boots not Boho

I put away all my sandals a couple weeks ago, because I finally had to admit that I can't wear orange satin flip-flops in a hailstorm. So, I pulled out my box of winter shoes and boots. I have two favorite pairs, a knee high pair of black patent leather boots with pointy toes and an ankle high pair of brown leather boots with pointy toes. They still make me feel sassy when I wear them, but of course, the fashion people had to come up with something new for this season. I'm sort of a fashion whore, so I'm currently frothing at the mouth for a couple pairs of Franco Sarto boots with the requisite wedge heel/round toe.

I ususally like the new trendy fashion stuff, but that boho shit has got to go. If I wanted to look like Holly Hobbie strung out on coke, then I wouldn't want to pay a bundle at BCBG to do it. And what's up with this "dumpster chic" crap that the Olsen twins are sporting?

I think I'll stick with my boots, thanks. After all, they were made for walkin'...(sorry, it's Friday and when I get tired I make bad puns. Ok, I make bad puns all the time...you got me.)
