MAC Attack

I wear make-up pretty much every day, unless I'm sick or really hung over. I have my basic, everyday make-up, like concealer and loose powder. But then, I have fun make-up that I buy like crack from the dealer on the corner, otherwise known as the MAC store.

I was first introduced to the great MAC store in Vancouver on a trip there with some girlfriends. I had been mostly into Clinique before that, but they assured me that MAC was better. We went to the store on Robson street. It is the size of boutique and has row upon row of lipstick, gloss (aka "Lipglass"), eyeshadow, wonderful make-up brushes and so many other shiny, shimmering objects. I'm like a crow - if it's shiny, I want to have it.

On that first trip, all I got was a lipstick called Fetish. But since then, I have bought a set of make-up brushes, enough lipstick to fill a whole make-up bag (btw, if you bring back six used MAC lipsticks, they will give you one free - what a deal!), blush, fast response eye cream (it has caffeine in it), moisture feed eye cream, mascara and lipglass. Oh, the lipglass. I've loved lipgloss since first grade and lipglass is the ultimate in color choice and viscosity.

I still like Clinique (hello, they have free gifts all the time!) and I fancy my Stila eyeshadow in Kitten, but MAC is my favorite. There is a MAC counter at Nordstrom here in Seattle, but it's not the same as as an entire store filled with MAC make-up. Whenever we go to Vancouver, Aaron knows that he will be spending a fair amount of time in the boyfriend chair at the MAC store, while the cute gay boys that work there ask me I need any help. Oh yes, honey, as a matter of fact, I do.
